Return to your Nile cruise and begin sailing towards Kom Ombo, enjoying lunch en route while the landscapes of Upper Egypt slowly drift by. Upon arrival, visit the Temple of Kom Ombo, uniquely dedicated to two gods: Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). The temple’s symmetrical design reflects its dual devotion, with fascinating carvings of ancient surgical tools and Nile-based calendars that shed light on daily life in ancient times.

After your visit, don’t miss the Crocodile Mummification Museum, which houses actual mummified crocodiles once revered by the ancient Egyptians.

After breakfast on board, your day in Aswan begins with a visit to three of the city’s most iconic landmarks. Start with the remarkable High Dam, a modern marvel that changed Egypt’s destiny by controlling the Nile floods and generating hydroelectric power.

From there, head to the Unfinished Obelisk — still attached to the bedrock in Aswan’s granite quarries — which offers rare insight into ancient Egyptian stone-cutting techniques.
