Upon arrival, hop aboard a traditional horse-drawn carriage through the town, heading to the magnificent Temple of Horus — one of the largest and best-preserved temples in all of Egypt. Guarding its entrance are two imposing granite statues of the falcon god Horus, setting the stage for an unforgettable exploration.
As the day draws to a close, continue sailing through peaceful river scenes where fishermen cast their nets and lush green landscapes unfold — dotted with sugarcane fields, banana groves, and palm trees.

Explore the ancient pharaonic sandstone quarries of Silsela — once the source of stone for many of Egypt’s grand temples. Here, you’ll uncover the little-known rock-cut temple of Pharaoh Horemheb, carved directly into the cliff face.
Climb to the top of the mountain for a stunning panoramic view of the Nile, where time seems to stand still and the vast desert landscape stretches endlessly.

Walk through its twin entrances, mirror-image halls, and beautifully preserved sanctuaries as you uncover the symbolism and stories behind this remarkable structure.
Return to the Dahabiya for lunch as we continue sailing south toward Aswan. Spend the rest of the day relaxing on deck, soaking in the scenic beauty of the Nile’s eastern banks — palm groves, golden sands, and timeless villages.
