Your guided exploration begins at the Valley of the Kings, the royal necropolis home to over 60 tombs of New Kingdom rulers, including Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. Step inside a selection of these elaborately decorated tombs, where colors and carvings remain vivid after millennia.
Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, an architectural marvel nestled in limestone cliffs. Then, stop by the towering Colossi of Memnon, two ancient statues that once stood guard at a lost mortuary temple.

Return to your cruise and continue sailing south to Kom Ombo, where you’ll visit a rare double temple dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile god, and Haroeris (Horus the Elder). The temple’s symmetrical layout and Nile-side location make it a photographer’s favorite.

Next, see the impressive Aswan High Dam, a marvel of 20th-century engineering that reshaped the Nile’s flow and created Lake Nasser. Then visit the Unfinished Obelisk, still embedded in bedrock, revealing ancient techniques of stone carving on a massive scale.
