Philae Temple

Your journey begins upon arrival in Aswan, where our representative will greet you at the airport or railway station and escort you to board the luxurious Ciela Nile Cruise. After check-in and a welcome refreshment, prepare for your first adventure exploring Aswan’s highlights.

  • High Dam – A modern engineering marvel that transformed the landscape of Egypt and secured the Nile’s flow.

  • Philae Temple – A beautiful island sanctuary dedicated to the goddess Isis, rich with myths and intricate reliefs.

  • Unfinished Obelisk – A fascinating glimpse into ancient stonework techniques, attributed to Queen Hatshepsu.

Return to the cruise for lunch. Enjoy your first dinner onboard as the ship remains docked in Aswan.

Kom Ombo temple

Start your day with a scenic breakfast on the Nile as the ship sails toward Kom Ombo.

  • Kom Ombo Temple – A rare double temple honoring both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus the Elder. Learn about ancient medicine and view crocodile mummies.

Continue sailing to Edfu, where you’ll enjoy lunch onboard.

  • Edfu Temple – One of Egypt’s best-preserved temples, dedicated to the falcon god Horus. Accessed by horse-drawn carriage, the site offers striking carvings and a massive pylon.

Later in the evening, set sail for Luxor. Enjoy an entertaining Galabeya party onboard, followed by dinner.

Luxor Temple

Welcome to Luxor! Upon arrival at Luxor Airport or train station, a Bright Egypt Travel representative will greet you and escort you to board the Ciela Nile Cruise. After check-in and a relaxing lunch onboard, the journey begins with a visit to Luxor’s East Bank.

  • Karnak Temple – One of the largest religious complexes ever constructed, dedicated to the Theban triad and particularly Amun-Ra. Explore colossal columns, sacred lakes, and towering obelisks.

  • Luxor Temple – A beautifully preserved temple connected to Karnak by the Avenue of Sphinxes. Discover its majestic colonnades and ancient inscriptions from Egypt’s most famous rulers.

Return to the ship for dinner and your first

Hatshepsut temple

Start your day with breakfast on the sundeck as the ship remains in Luxor. Then, journey to the West Bank, home to ancient royal tombs and majestic temples.

  • Valley of the Kings – Walk through the sacred burial grounds of New Kingdom pharaohs (admission includes 3 tombs; entry to Tutankhamun’s tomb available at an extra charge).

  • Temple of Queen Hatshepsut – A unique mortuary temple built into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari.

  • Colossi of Memnon – Towering statues that once guarded the mortuary temple of Amenhotep III.

Return to the cruise for lunch as the vessel begins sailing south. Watch as the ship crosses the Esna Lock, then continues toward Edfu.

After breakfast, take a horse-drawn carriage to visit:
